Manus
Manus is a hosted autonomous agent: you give it a goal and it plans the steps, browses, writes, and runs code in its own cloud environment, then hands back a finished deliverable. Meta's roughly $2 billion acquisition, completed in December 2025, was unwound in June 2026 after Chinese regulators blocked it, and Manus now operates independently from Singapore. Users were asked to export data created after the acquisition, which Manus had to delete.
