Devin Desktop is Cognition's AI code editor, renamed from Windsurf on June 2, 2026. Existing Windsurf installs updated in place with plans, extensions, and settings intact. The full IDE is still there, but the default screen is now an Agent Command Center for planning, delegating, and reviewing work across local agents and Devin cloud agents. It suits developers who want an editor and a multi-agent task board in one app.
